If Ómtell does not receive sufficient information
supplied by the customer, then Ómtell is unable to provide a service to the potential customer.

The information recorded by Ómtell Telecommunications may also be
used to promote and market to you other services which we consider may be of interest
to you. If you no longer wish to receive these communications from Ómtell
Telecommunications or from third parties, you can contact Ómtell Telecommunications
at any time and make an 'opt out' request
Disclosure of Information
Ómtell Telecommunications may disclose your personal information to third parties which provide Ómtell Telecommunications with outsourced functions. These may include, but not be limited to,
- billing and debt collection,
- customer enquiries and mailing systems,
- other telecommunications service providers,
- law enforcement agencies,
- government agencies,
- courts or our professional advisers, including our accountants,
- Auditors and lawyers.
At all times, parties to which we contract services or
disclose your personal information are either covered by contracts which protect
your personal information or are required to comply with all relevant laws
including the Privacy Act 1988.

Ómtell Telecommunications takes reasonable steps to ensure that your personal information is stored securely. However, no transmission over the Internet or storage of information on servers connected to the Internet can be guaranteed to be absolutely secure. While we strive to protect your personal information from misuse, loss or unauthorized access, destruction, use, modification or disclosure of data we cannot guarantee the security of any information you transmit to us.
Customer Access to Personal Information
Generally, you have the right to see or obtain a copy of personal information about you that we may hold. Ómtell will handle requests for access to personal information in accordance with the National Privacy Principles. To request access to your personal information, please contact us on 02 95 99 66 00. As long as we can adequately verify your identity, the person you speak to may be able to provide you with the information you require over the telephone. If you wish to have a copy of any information, we will ask that you put your request in writing and either post or fax that request to us. Again, this is to ensure that we can verify your identity. In some cases, we may need time to consider and respond to your request for access. If we need time to consider your request, we will acknowledge your request within 14 days and respond within a maximum of 30 days. Depending on the information you wish to access, where it is stored and the time it will take us to respond to your request for access, we may charge you a fee for the administrative cost of providing the information to you. If for any reason we refuse to give you access to your information we will let you know why, in writing. The circumstances in which we may refuse to give you access to personal information we hold about you include where giving you access:
- would have an unreasonable impact on other people's privacy;
- would prejudice any negotiations we are having with you;
- would prejudice an investigation of unlawful activity;
- Would prejudice activities carried out by, or for, a law enforcement body.
If you believe that we hold personal information about you that you consider to be inaccurate, incomplete or out of date you should tell us by calling 02 95 99 66 00. In most cases, we will amend any inaccurate, incomplete or out of date information. In some cases it is necessary for us to keep a record of what we know or understand to be correct at a particular time. However, in those circumstances, if you request, we will take reasonable steps to associate with the relevant record of your personal information a statement to the effect that you claim the information is inaccurate, incomplete or out of date. People Acting On the Customers Behalf
Ómtell may give information to people acting on the customers behalf once authorized to do so by the customer; verbal authorization is acceptable for close family members but otherwise written authorization is required. Family members who are able to give the full name and data of birth of the customer may make preliminary enquiries on behalf of the customer.
Information Accuracy
Ómtell Telecommunications strives to maintain the accuracy of the information it records. If you are an Ómtell Telecommunications customer you may access your account details and correct your personal information by contacting Ómtell Telecommunications’ customer service.
Concern about Privacy
If a customer has a concern about privacy, a letter or email should be sent to Ómtell’s privacy officer who will be pleased to discuss any of your concerns.
